Poster exhibition at the Steel & Hydrogen Conference

Project partners Amadeu Concustell and Silvia Molas, from Eurecat, participated in the 4th International Conference on Metals Hydrogen, celebrated between October 11th-13th, 2022, in Ghent (Belgium).
During the event, they disseminated CRYSTAL project results through the poster “Influence of hydrogen on fracture toughness of advanced high-strength steels”, which introduces a work where a simple-to-use test based on fracture mechanics is proposed to better understand the relation of fracture toughness initiation and propagation with hydrogen embrittlement.

The poster was also contributed by David Frómeta, Axel Martínez, Marc Bahillo and Laura Grifé, from Eurecat.

The fourth Steel & Hydrogen conference provided an environment to share and exchange experiences on the link between metals and the various aspects of hydrogen: hydrogen-microstructure interactions, hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen detection, etc. Since its first edition, the spirit of the conference has been in keeping a balance between fundamental and industrial aspects.
